Inspired by the cool beauty of the Arctic landscape, Bering watches are characterised by minimalistic, clear, and elegant design. The Danish company combines high quality materials, such as high-tech ceramic, and sapphire crystal to create beautiful and simplistic designs, inspired by the beauty of the Arctic.
René Kaerskov, an adventurer and businessman was entranced by the Arctic landscape in 2008, during a helicopter jump over the North Pole. He captivated business partners Michael Witt Johansen, and Lars Gram-Skjonnemann with his depictions of the Arctic and the two began developing a new watch brand, and so Bering was born.
The name Bering originated from the Danish sailor Vitus Bering, who in 1728 set sail across the Arctic Ocean to an unknown and unexplored area. He was the first European to discover Alaska, and the waters he sailed would one day be named after him, as the ‘Bering Straits’. It was only fitting that these beautiful watches that emulate the minimalism and cool beauty of the Arctic, would be named after the man who had discovered it, and was also entranced by this landscape.
Bering is available at our Nottingham, Newark, and Worksop branches.
