Gent’s stainless steel Panerai Radiomir Black Seal Acciaio, PAM00183. Manual-wind Panerai OP XI Calibre movement. Complete with original box and papers, originally purchased in 2009.
On the eve of World War Two, Panerai created the first few prototypes of the Radiomir. The Radiomir was to be used by the Royal Italian Navy commandos, famed for their use of human torpedoes in missions, also known as “black seals”. Today’s model shares several similarities with the original prototypes, including a large cushion-shaped case, luminescent markers, a manual-wind movement and distinctive wire lugs.
This gentleman’s stainless steel Panerai Radiomir Black Seal Acciaio is on a brown leather strap. The 45mm case houses a manual-wind Panerai OP XI calibre chronometer movement. The black dial features luminous Arabic numerals and hour markers, with small seconds at 9 o’clock. This watch is complete with its original box and papers, aswell as a spare alternate strap. The date of original purchase is 2009.
