Gent’s brushed Stainless Steel Rolex Air-King, ref: 14000. Automatic Chronometer certified movement. Complete with original box and papers; manufactured in 1998, purchased in 2000.
Throughout the 1930s and early 1940s – considered by many as the golden age of aviation - Rolex watches gained significant popularity with professional and military pilots on account of their unrivalled accuracy, readability and overall quality. Rolex released the Air-King in 1945, towards the end of the Second World War, as a culmination and improvement of their previous ‘Air’ models. Due to its charm and admiration from both collectors and professionals alike, the Air-King is still in production to this day.
This Stainless Steel Rolex Air-King is fitted to a brushed Stainless Steel Oyster bracelet and features a screw-down crown and Oyster caseback. Its mesmerising deep blue sunburst dial is decorated with luminous baton markers and oversized Arabic numerals at three, six and nine o’clock. The 34mm case is finished with a polished domed bezel and houses a highly durable Sapphire Crystal glass. Complete with original box and paperwork, first purchased in 2000.
