TAG Heuer’s most iconic design, the legendary Monaco hails as one of the most distinctive watches of the 20th century. Famously worn by Steve McQueen in the 1972 film ‘Le Mans’, the Monaco was originally released in 1969 and created by Jack Heuer. Its sleek design has developed over the years, but still pays tribute to the original model with a unique square case. This watch was one of the first in history to be fitted with a calibre 11 movement and an automatic chronograph feature.
The modern blue dial is complimented by silver batons, a date window at 6 o’clock and two chronograph sub-dials measuring 60 seconds and 30 minutes. A blue alligator grain leather strap has a stainless-steel deployment buckle to enhance to longevity of the strap and overall comfort. The Monaco stays true to its heritage by having a raised glass however this model features a sapphire crystal glass on the front and caseback, which is highly scratch resistant. Fitted with an automatic chronograph calibre 12 movement, this watch is complete with original box and papers dated 2018.
