One of the most instantly recognisable watches in the world, the Breitling Navitimer has certainly stood the test of time, changing very little since its creation in 1952. With its iconic slide rule bezel, the Navitimer was originally designed to aid pilots to perform navigation-related calculations and is still used today. It is the world’s oldest mechanical chronograph still in production and is also the first wrist chronograph to be worn in space.

This Breitling Navitimer has a stainless steel case with a leather strap fitted with a stainless steel deployment/folding clasp. The movement is the calibre Breitling 23 automatic chronometer chronograph with 30 minute and 12 hour registers. The turning bezel features a slide rule calculator. This watch has its original box and papers and was purchased from us in 2004.
