In order to meet the requirements of pilots of the 1950’S Jet Age Rolex created the GMT-Master, a watch that enabled the wearer to easily keep track of the time, no matter where in the world they were. It soon became the official watch of several intercontinental airlines including Pan American World Airways, otherwise known as Pan Am, and also adorned the wrists of the British and French test pilots during the final phase of Concorde’s test flights in the 1960’s.

This gentleman’s Rolex GMT-Master II has a stainless steel case and stainless steel Oyster bracelet. The black ‘Cerachrom’ bezel is engraved with a 24 hour display and the automatic chronometer, self-winding movement features an additional arrow-tipped hand to exhibit a 2nd time-zone. It was originally purchased from Goldsmiths in 2007 and is complete with its box and paperwork.
