TAG Heuer Autavia

In 1986, following Heuer’s recent acquisition by Techniques d’Avant Garde and two wildly successful years working alongside the McClaren racing team, TAG Heuer released their first ever quartz-only wristwatch, the Formula 1. The company has a rich sporting history and longstanding association with motorsport - more so than any other manufacturer. Thanks to pioneering innovations such as the Autavia (the first ever dashboard-mounted racing chronograph) and the Carrera (the first wrist-worn racing chronograph), TAG Heuer and the racing world will always be inexorably linked. This gent’s TAG Heuer Autavia Chronograph features a black opalin dial with rhodium plated and beige Superluminova baton markers; framed in a black aluminium bidirectional bezel. It has a round, polished steel 42mm case which is up to 100m water resistant – presented on a “rice grain” stainless steel bracelet.
