Paying homage to Omega’s workshops in Geneva, where some of their iconic 30mm movements were created, the Geneve line was introduced. Such was its appeal that by 1970 it accounted for 60% of their production. The range was discontinued in 1979 when a law in Geneva stated the word ‘Geneva’ could no longer be added to goods not produced in that region.

This gentleman’s Omega Geneve has a gold plated case with stainless steel case back and is fitted with a leather strap. The simple, round, 34.5mm case houses an automatic, self-winding movement with date feature and centre second hand. Due to the age of the watch it no longer has its original box or papers. However, we are able to date it to 1970 from the case number.
