Founded in 1904 in Holstein, Switzerland by watchmakers Paul Cattin and Georges Christian, Oris quickly became a respected name in horology. Winning many awards for their movements and design Oris have dominated the Swiss watch market and in the 1970’s was one of the 10 largest watch companies in the world.

Today Oris is still an independent company producing many watches with functions which pay homage to their heritage, such as the pointer calendar and their signature feature the big crown, originally for the needs of gloved airmen. Their high quality movements, unique designs and eye-catching red rotor have ensured Oris remain a leader in the field of watchmaking.
