The Luminor 1950 as we see today was first developed shortly after the second world war as technical research into watches continued. After success with the Radiomir, the Luminor encompassed some similar features such as the cushion shaped case but developed in other areas. In 1949 a new substance was introduced to Panerai watches, and with inspiration from this self-luminous substance Panerai named their other historical model the ‘Luminor’.

This gentleman’s stainless steel Panerai Luminor 1950 is fitted on a stainless steel bracelet. The 44mm case houses an in-house Panerai automatic caliber 9001 self-winding movement with a 3 day power reserve. The dial features engraved luminous Arabic numerals, a date window at 3 o’Clock and a sub-seconds dial. This timepiece also features a GMT function with the luminous arrow tipped hand. This watch is complete with original box, paperwork and accessories for changing straps. Dated from 2014.
