Since 1884, Breitling have specialised in technical timekeeping instruments, and were instrumental in the development of the wrist chronograph we know today by patenting the second push-piece. Chronographs still form the majority of Breitling’s collections and, unlike any other watch brand, all of their watches (including quartz models) are independently tested and certified by COSC, the benchmark of Swiss watchmaking precision.
This gentleman’s Breitling Chrono Cockpit has a bi-metal case and bi-metal Pilot bracelet. The chronometer certified, calibre B13 chronograph movement has 30 minute and 12 hour registers and a date. It has its box and paperwork and was purchased originally from Andrew Michaels, Newark, Nottinghamshire.
