Rolex Oyster Datejust

The Rolex Datejust was introduced in 1945 – a milestone in watchmaking innovation, combining a date function with a self-winding movement that is chronometer certified and water resistant. This particular Datejust 36 “Wimbledon” got its name from the legendary tennis tournament, which Rolex has a close relationship to with being official partners and timekeepers since 1978. As you can see, the green-colour detailing on the dial is in relation to the green-fields of Wimbledon, also relevant for Rolex as green is synonymous with the brand; a striking feature, making this watch really stand out amongst the Datejust 36 range. This gents Rolex Datejust is presented on a stainless steel Oyster bracelet. Its round, 36mm case is fitted with durable sapphire crystal, is up to 100m water resistant with a screw sown crown and caseback, displaying a cyclops lens at 3 o’clock on a slate grey dial with green roman numerals – the iconic “Wimbledon dial”.
