Rolex Oyster GMT "Pepsi"

The Rolex GMT Master is one of the most easily recognisable and iconic watches of all time. The blue/red bezel - affectionately nicknamed the ‘Pepsi’ amongst collectors - was first featured on Rolex’s 1954 collaboration with Pan-Am Airways; the GMT-Master. The red half of the bezel represents the hours of daylight, the blue half night-time. Originally issued to long-haul pilots, the GMT-Master is able to display two time-zones simultaneously and has been worn and appreciated by professionals and collectors alike. The GMT-Master hall-of-fame includes the likes of Tom Selleck, Clint Eastwood, Hunter S. Thompson, Marlon Brando and Chuck Yeager, to name but a few. This vintage gent’s Rolex GMT-Master has a stainless steel Oyster case with screw-down crown and caseback, with brushed stainless steel Oyster bracelet. The black dial features luminous dot markers which are now exhibiting a beautiful aged patina, covered by a plexi glass with cyclops magnifier for the date. Centre seconds hand and a fourth red GMT hand. The case houses a self-winding automatic, chronometer-certified movement. It comes with its original box, booklets and chronometer certificate. It has its original bezel fitted but also has a service replacement included.
